Born and raised in Eastern Long Island New York, David Haugland the proud owner of Haugland and Sons Building Corp. in Long Island, New York and Long Beach Island New Jersey, continues to walk in his generational inheritance, custom home building and developments. Recently relocating his family, Juliet his wife, and three children from Wading River, New York to Stafford, New Jersey believes he is building Long Beach Islands most “prestigious custom homes.” Juliet, David’s wife works side by side with him designing each magnificent detail that pulls together these pieces of art which we call homes.David, as a young man, worked under his father, Kaare, carrying wood and cleaning up. After training for several years he became the finest woodworker in the crews. David grew up around “high end” building his whole life, having integrity, vision and passion in everything he built. He designs most of the homes he builds with the local architects. Some may consider his homes as being magnificent, intense and creative. David doesn’t believe in cheap, he believes in the old time building when homes where homes, solid and strong. “Building homes should not be about cost, it should first be about building the right product with the right materials. I will not compromise quality for cheap products!”
